I am a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, licensed by the City of Cambridge. I am trained in the Ben Benjamin System of Muscular Therapy. I've enjoyed working in a variety of professional settings, including: medical, corporate, and athletic, as well as private practice.

In addition to those clients seeking relaxation and help in dealing with the general stresses of life at home and in the workplace, I enjoy working with a broad spectrum of people: seniors; expectant mothers; dancers; busy parents; athletes, and people living with chronic illnesses.

All are welcomed into a relaxing atmosphere where their comfort and safety are emphasized and individual attention is a priority.

About my work
Following an in-depth interview to determine each client's particular needs, I develop an individualized treatment- plan based on tension patterns, sites of pain, and movement restrictions, among other factors. This plan includes hands-on massage therapy, gentle range-of-motionexercises and teaching simple home/self-care techniques. Using this combination I help clients manage stress, increase flexibility, maintain good health, reduce pain and stay pain free.

Using the home/self-care techniques clients can take an active part in their own treatment thus enhancing the benefits of the massage.

I see this collaboration between therapist and client as a very important part of the therapeutic relationship.
