Catalina Arboldea

Catalina Arboleda is a Harvard educated (B.A. 1976; Ph.D. 1982) psychologist with over 25 years of clinical experience. Trained as a developmental psychologist at Harvard, she completed a clinical internship in child and adolescent psychology at the Judge Baker Guidance Center in Boston, worked as a staff member at Boston's Children's Hospital and consulted to a variety of private schools in the Boston area. Since then she has dedicated herself exclusively to her solo-private practice in Clinical Psychology.

Dr Arboleda currently sees mostly adolescents, college age students and adult women and men. Her training in developmental psychology has given her a unique perspective on the clinical issues and difficulties presented by her clients. Catalina Arboleda is a seasoned practitioner with a keen understanding and a compassionate heart. She possesses an ability to sit with whatever her clients bring to the therapeutic sessions and an intuitive sense of what will be helpful to her clients. Dr. Arboleda works mostly from within an insight oriented and relational perspective, but can also be quite practical.

She has a very varied practice. She is particularly experienced in treating clients with a history of trauma and loss, with depressive and anxiety symptoms, with parenting or relationship issues and/or those who are going through major life transitions, be they the result of loss, divorce, illness or developmental changes.
